Nurses help out with Humane Society Kitten Fair

Nurses help Humane Society Kittens (YouTube)

In 2016 Salem Health's Neurotrauma Care Unit nurses pulled weeds and cleaned kennels to help the Willamette Humane Society. This year, they put their medical skills to better use.

They gave vaccines and medications during the Kitten Fair for foster families. A steady stream of squealing, purring fluffballs landed at each treatment table.

"We had to exercise a lot of self control," said Alex M., RN, the organizer. "My husband asked me not to bring one home!"
